This documentary tells the story of fireman Stephen Siller, who lost his life on September 11th in an attempt to save the lives of others. Siller was off duty when he heard about the first plane hitting the World Trade Center. He immediately turned his truck around and headed back toward Manhattan. When confronted with the blocked Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, he abandoned his vehicle, strapped on 75 pounds of firefighting gear and attempted to run through the tunnel, toward the Towers. Tragically, he reached Tower Two just as it collapsed and Siller lost his life that day.
Narrated by John Turturro, For the Love of Their Brother documents the efforts of Siller's siblings to honor his memory with the annual Tunnel to Towers Run, an annual event that retraces Siller's last steps and raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity.
