APT Worldwide to exhibit at MIPTV with a slate of HD and DVD-ready programming

American Public Television seeks out potential projects and partners for U.S. distribution

PRESS RELEASE

Boston, Mass (March 12, 2004) – American Public Television and the international sales division APT Worldwide will be returning to Cannes, France for MIPTV – the international television market – which will be held March 29 through April 2, 2004. APT Vice President of Co-productions and Acquisitions Eric Luskin will be attending along with APT Program Executive Nelsa Gidney. Also attending for APT Worldwide is VP of International Sales, Joan Cavanagh.

Luskin will focus on identifying projects that will be attractive buys for U.S. public television programmers. He says, "MIP is a great place to meet with clients about possible projects for APT co-productions and syndication to America's public television stations. In a relationship business, it is great to spend time with people who become key partners in our business."

In the area of program sales, Joan Cavanagh says, "MIP provides a marvelous opportunity to reconnect with our long time buyers, as well as a chance to meet new contacts from around the world. We have a very strong program catalog and we've seen increasing interest from DVD distributors who are aggressively looking for content to meet the demands of this burgeoning market. High Definition also continues to be a strong format in the U.S., as well as in foreign territories. APT Worldwide's HD titles span a spectrum of genres and we are seeing HD evolve as a preferred format"

New titles that APT Worldwide will be promoting include: JACKIE ROBINSON: A LIFE STORY, a biography of the celebrated African-American baseball legend, featuring rarely-seen footage and photos; MANHOOD & VIOLENCE, a moving documentary about an innovative rehabilitation program for prison inmates; and a brand new season of the spectacular HD travel series, SMART TRAVELS: EUROPE WITH RUDY MAXA.

APT Worldwide will also be featuring THE DESERT SPEAKS, a stunning nature series shot in High Definition; a riveting documentary on eating disorders titled PERFECT ILLUSIONS: EATING DISORDERS AND THE FAMILY; COSMIC JOURNEY, which explores the Voyager Space Mission; and VERMEER: MASTER OF LIGHT, a film which examines the technique and exceptional skill of Dutch Master painter Johannes Vermeer.
