TAPE Bicycle Distribution Policy
ORDERING
To initiate a booking order for a program or series, please send a message via email to robyn_mills@APTonline.org.
Please provide the following information:
Program/Series Title
Episodes Needed (for a series)
Version (if applicable, e.g. Standard, Pledge or Virtual Pledge)
Airdate & Air Pattern (for series, e.g. one episode/week, 5 episodes/week, etc.)
Contact Name/ Phone #
TIMELINES
Tapes should be booked at 5-7 weeks in advance of your airdate. All tapes are shipped via UPS Ground – shipment time is usually 1 - 6 business days.
Late Booking Processing Fee: Any booking requests made within a 3 week period (15 business days) of your airdate -- or that is requested to be delivered sooner than 3 weeks -- will be subject to a $75.00 processing fee. The requesting station must also supply a FedEx or UPS number to cover shipping costs.
SHIPPING TAPES
Most shipping requests will be made via e-mail, and will include a shipping address and receiving station airdate. It is important that you check the shipping instructions carefully. If you are unable to comply with any shipping instructions, e-mail APT Traffic immediately.
Standard UPS shipping costs are the responsibility of the station sending out the tapes. The shipping station must provide APT and the receiving station with a tracking number for all shipments via e-mail. APT is NOT responsible for shipping costs. If stations need to expedite shipping, the requesting station needs to make the request in writing, supplying shipping account information and specific need by dates.
Please hold on to ALL BICYCLE tapes until you receive a shipping request from American Public Television.
- Do not ship tapes back to the station you received them from
- Do not share tapes with other stations without contacting American Public Television
- By booking tapes from our library, you accept responsibility for maintaining accurate
shipping and receiving records
RECEIVING TAPES
Most programs booked through our tape library will be shipped to you from another station, not APT. Therefore, it is important that you keep track of which programs you have received and which you have not. If you have not received a program, and your airdate is getting close, please do the following:
- If receiving tapes from another station, please contact that station first. If they cannot help you, then contact American Public Television.
- If receiving tapes from American Public Television, contact us immediately.

Need Date (if you wish to expedite shipment – see below)

Shipping information (if you wish to expedite shipment – see below)
TIMELINES
Shipment of tapes is made via UPS Ground, which takes 2 - 8 business days for delivery. To expedite delivery, please supply your FedEx shipping information. Requests will be fulfilled in an expedient manner – please note your need information accordingly.
Late Booking Fee: There is no late booking fee for Promo delivery.
All PROMO tapes must be returned, UPS Ground Prepaid, following dubbing to your stock to:
