Description
The documentary HOW TO SPEND AN HOUR examines a unique system of currency that has flourished among the citizens and businesses of Ithaca, New York. The "hour," a $10 unit of currency named because it represented the average hourly wages in the area, has become a grassroots success story. How to Spend an Hour focuses on the many community institutions - including the local hospital, federal credit union and 300 other businesses - utilizing the currency program, and tours the print shop where the "hours" are created.
